This is a very nice and Extremely Rare1975 USA Version Hess Box Truck Complete with 3 Barrels, Top and Bottom Inserts, & Battery Card. The lights all work on the truck.  The decals on this truck are real decals on a painted white surface. Not the paper type as on the Standard 1975 type trucks made in Hong Kong. Not only does the truck have real decals on it, but the battery compartment door is different in the way it was made. As is the under side of the trailer has a Round Marx Logo stating " Made In The USA" instead of the Amerada Hess Made in Hong Kong printing. Another difference in this truck is the smoke stack on the cab mounts to both the green cab and the red base. This is different from the standard Hong Kong version that mounts to the Green cab only. Another difference is that the battery card is totaly different than that of the Honk Kong Version, both in the way is laid out, the printing and that it was made in the USA. The Box is truly different in several ways from that of the most common version. The Box is about an inch longer and a 1/2 inch higher than the common version. The box also has No printing on the long sides as do the other boxes. It also has an Oval Caution sticker affixed to the top of the box in Most all cases, and has the printed statement "Made In the United States" on the one end of the box. ( the end with the picture of the rear doors ). The Box is in Excellent condition with no rips or tears in the box or the paper sides. It does have some discoloring in the white as do most of these boxes. It is not pure white but it is in Excellent original shape as is the truck. This is one of the truly Rare Early Hess trucks that you will not see everyday. This is not for the everyday Hess Truck collector, this is for Only the Serious Hess Truck collector.
